A ten-week practice in becoming your own guide.
COMPASS is a ten-week self-trust program for adults who can make thoughtful decisions for other people and still become uncertain, self-critical, or easily overruled when the decision is their own.
The aim is not permanent confidence or freedom from doubt. It is a more dependable relationship with yourself.

If you can decide for everyone except yourself
-
You can decide well for everyone else, and stall completely on your own choices.
-
More research, more opinions, more waiting — and the decision still is not made.
-
The inner critic sounds like rigour, so you keep listening to it.
-
You keep promises to everyone but yourself, and quietly stop believing your own.
-
Certainty never arrives, so nothing feels safe enough to choose.
-
One broken commitment becomes a verdict on your character.
What you will leave with
- A way of answering the inner critic with truth, care, and responsibility
- A standard for making good-enough decisions without endless reassurance
- A clear line between what is yours, not yours, and shared
- A way to use support without handing away your own authority
- A personal manual for the next time you lose your footing
What COMPASS will not ask of you
- To trust every thought or impulse you have
- To feel certain before you are allowed to act
- To stop needing reassurance or advice
- To keep every promise at any cost
- To treat a missed commitment as a verdict on you
- Ten weeks
- One-to-one or a small group, depending on fit
- A workbook you keep
- Short daily practice between sessions
- Open enrollment — no diagnosis or referral
Common questions
Is this therapy?
No. COMPASS is an educational and experiential program, not psychotherapy or a substitute for mental-health treatment. It is not billed or receipted as a health service. My clinical practice exists separately for people who need treatment.
Do I need a diagnosis or a referral?
No. COMPASS is open to adults who recognize themselves in what it addresses. You do not need a diagnosis or a referral, and you do not need to prove that the difficulty is serious enough to deserve attention.
Is it one-to-one or a group?
Either. COMPASS runs one-to-one or as a small group, depending on what fits at the time. We can decide that together before you start.
What if something harder comes up while I am working through it?
Some of the material touches self-criticism, shame, and old commitments, and that can bring more with it. If it does, I will say so plainly, and we pause the program while you get the right support. A higher level of care is sometimes the more useful next step.
When does it start, and what does it cost?
Dates, format, and pricing go to the waitlist before they are announced anywhere else. Joining is free and carries no obligation to enrol.
